As we have been in the final stages of prepping for Mistletoe Madness - I wanted to make sure we took the opportunity to share our final business visit prior to the holidays at @JusTeazin' Salon and Boutique on the Highland Square. Owner Shannon Hogg welcomed Gateway CEO with donuts, juice and a morning full of sharing passion and business! While Shannon never dreamt out of high school of being a small business owner in her hometown, life brought her here with each life experience building on another. From accounting major, to dairy farmer's wife, to mom, to hairstylist, to full time boutique and salon business owner -- with more on the horizon, Shannon is a leader within her community. Standing in her beautifully updated - yet intently preserved space, she had so many insights for our students. Here are the highlights:
- You don't have to have all of life figured out! Take each day and each experience and keep growing into what's next.
- Listen to your heart. You will know when it's time to make a change.
- VISION BOARD - Everyone should have one and set specific goals to make it happen.
- Choosing the right business partner is vital to your success. Know your lanes and stay in them.
- Anything worth having is not easy. You will always have to work for it.
- Love what you are doing. Find the ways YOU can make a difference for someone else!
Thank you so much for sharing your business with us!
