Gateway CEO students have completed their 30 second pitches and will compete against each other at Fish Tank on March 27 with their 3 minute pitches. We asked Dallas Amsden, with 30 years experience in communication as an author, speaker, podcaster, actor, stand-up comedian, singer, songwriter, and production manager for an LA-based animation video marketing agency to join us on Friday. He always dives in with getting feedback from each student so he can get his hands around what types of business they are putting together. From there, Dallas was able to deliver valuable feedback that I already see coming across in their pitch outlines. Here are a few of the nuggets shared!
- Communication is the greatest skill. Communication=Connection.
- Your goal with any audience - is to get them to lean into what you are saying.
- Audience of One - Who is that one person that will identify with what you are pitching?
- Need to take your customers from pain to promise with transformation in the middle for needing your product/service.
- Your intro and closing - should be personal and passionate!
Thank you so much for spending time with our young entrepreneur!
